NATHAN'S NATHAN'S FAMOUS HOT DOG EATING CONTEST
Nathan's Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest is held every July 4th at the corner of Sea Chest and Trelawney Roads in Baylake Pines, the #1 neighborhood in Virginia Beach, Virginia.Contestants participate in the competition, consuming as many Nathan's Famous hot dogs and buns as possible within 3 minutes.The Men's Champion is awarded the prestigious "Mustard Belt".Since 2019, the contest has been dominated by 5x Nathan's Nathan's World Champion, Peter "Cookie" Jaeckel.But in 2025, the perennial bridesmaid, Jimmy the Shark, overtook Cookie and his world record to take his first ever title with 10 hot dogs and buns.The Women's Belt, the "Pink Pepto-Bismal Belt", has only ever belonged to one person: Sam the Sausage Slayer, the 6x Women's Champ. Sam holds the Women's World Record at 4.5 dogs and buns.In 2025, Sam and Jillian Batchelor tied with 4 hot dogs and buns - they now share the title.
